Actually Load up on carbohydrates the night before or after a high-intensity training / match / training is best. Especially with the tuna, with your protein and I am assuming Tomato sauce, which includes your vegetables.

Pasta Robot
We have a tradition of autumn fills the gap between summer and winter. We have a pasta party, or sometimes even two in September and October. The weather cools and we can open the house and invite friends to make pasta from scratch. We begin with a light brunch and planning of our ingredients for the pasta and divide into groups for each flavor. Each couple or individual makes a salad or meat to go with the pasta finished.
If you have never had homemade pasta, you need to do a test. The basic recipe is very simple here a quick list of ingredients to make a pound of homemade pastas:
2 & 1 / 4 cups unbleached flour
• 3 large eggs
· Pinch of salt
• Water or oil or milk (3-4 tablespoons)
· A chopped vegetables for flavor (optional)
We prefer to use oil as it keeps the dough to go out and adds a good flavor, but some people like water. We also use spinach, broccoli, zucchini and other vegetables for flavor, but is just fine too. This is where the party really begins Like many people bring their own vegetables to create a special taste they love. And we had some unusual since all real ingredients is permitted.
We use a food processor but you can also mix by hand. Use the plastic dough blade if you have one, but the metal blade cutting will work. You mix the dry ingredients into the bowl and pulse a few times to blend. Beat three egg whites combine yellows. Put the robot on and slowly pour eggs in and continue processing until the dough becomes a ball and works in from the edge of the bowl.
This part lasts only 5 minutes. Now the kneading begins and continues until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. Be sure to dust the work surface with flour and work quickly if you used water rather than oil because it dries faster. In Depending on your ingredients and effort, this part may take about 10-15 minutes.
We roll the dough back in bowl and cover with plastic wrap "rest" for about an hour at room temperature. At our parties we spend time doing this for each of our sauces different flavors of pasta. Pesto is always a vegetable standard but many fresh flavors are popular, some cooked and some not.
We use crank pasta machines (they cost about $ 10 - $ 13) because they are quick and easy. Always make sure you have some dough test across new pasta machine to clean any residue from the manufacture (all alone I've never bought a grease, oil, or even filings). Either make or buy several racks of drying pasta since pasta will hang to dry for about 2-3 hours before cooking (some people do not dry out very long but we thought it was really enhance the flavor).
The first process of the pasta machine is to flatten the dough into portions of approximately 1 / 16 inch thick, 4 inches wide and perhaps 12-inch lengths (the length is the thickness and the length of the strand of dough will be). When the dough is dry, the boiling point and begins in about 30-40 minutes, there is a wide variety flavors of pasta and sauces to try for dinner. Out come the salads and meat dishes, and then everyone mixes and matches their choice. Believe me when I say nobody goes home hungry after one of these parties.
You may have these parties at any time of year, spring would be good too since many vegetables are available. We just started doing this fall and is a bit stuck. You can always find some very good recipes that come with your pasta machine or robot to try. Or just on your own experience. It is fun and well an economical way to organize a festival every year.
