Oil Jar

Frequently Asked Questions ...
What does the oil in the pot put in Jesus' parable of the ten virgins?
Mathew 25:1-13 We have a Bible study last Thursday and I'm curious to see what other Christians believe about the oil.
Answer:
The oil is the Holy Spirit. This is typical in the Bible, Old and New Testament. The five extra oil could to share it because they had their share of the Holy Spirit. We can not give the Holy Spirit that is within us to any other. After the light is the knowledge of salvation is not enough, we really have the presence of the Holy Spirit, must be saved. He points out that many are waiting for the return of Jesus, but not all are truly his followers. There is more to being a Christian, to say as a Sinners prayer or a decision for Christ. Discipleship is a daily walk with our Father, drawing us into an intimate relationship of love and Peace.

Oils home herbal
Make your own herbal-infused oils can be a rewarding and satisfying experience. Not only you know exactly what your oil contains and the quality of these ingredients (unlike many products off-the-shelf "), but you can choose what put in your oil, depending on what you want to use it - and create your own personal blends.
Herbal oils can be used to enrich and condition hair, or as a luxurious bath oil, massage oil or as a fragrant and healing or cream natural moisturizer, or as an ingredient for salves and ointments. There are two main methods for the production of your herbal oils - a method and a method cold to hot. The hot method is mainly for difficult weeds, bark, roots and seeds, while the cold method is slow infusion method suitable for delicate petals.
Herbal Oil - Cold Method
Place your chosen plant / petals (see below) in a clean glass jar and fill with a carrier oil (olive oil, almond oil or grapeseed oil for example). The oil level should be higher than the level grass so that the grass is completely covered (To help prevent the herbs from the mold). Place the lid on the pot, gently shake the mixture and place in a warm and sunny to infuse a fortnight. Gently shake daily. Strain the oil and if you want a better oil, fill the jar with a new batch of petals and reuse infused oil. Departure for a fortnight, shaking every day and then re-stock and check the quality and strength of your oil. Pour into a bottle Glass clean and store in a cool dark place.
Herbal Oil - Method Hot
1 / 2 liter of oil Olive
2 - 3 oz dried herbs
Find a glass bowl that can be placed comfortably in a pan without touching the bottom of the pan. Pour enough water into the pan so the water hits the glass bowl, but do not come on the sides of the bowl (you create a type of bath to in place).
Put olive oil and herbs in glass bowl and place the pan (with bowl and oil and herbs) on medium heat. The idea is to simmer water in the pan so it heats the oil. Simmer for 2 to 3 hours, checking regularly to ensure that the water level is ok. Never let the pot boil dry! This can burn the herbs and oil mixture (And ruin your pan!) And a mixture of burnt oil is useless.
The oil will have on the scent of herbs as they infuse and changes color - if you can not find enough perfusion resulting strong after the first 2 - 3 hours, you can strain and reuse the oil with a new batch of dried herbs, simmer for 2 to 3 hours as you wish. I generally find that an infusion is sufficient.
To Strain the oil, use a muslin cloth or fine mesh strainer appropriate, with a clean glass cup underneath to catch the strained oil. Ensure that all plant material is removed from the oil and pour into a clean glass bottle.
If you use fresh herbs you Perhaps that is the oil obtained in layers - with a liquid (possibly greenish) layer of oil at the bottom - this should be separated aqueous layer and rejected otherwise your oil spoils quickly. For this reason, it is more desirable to use dried herbs.
Olive oil is my favorite choice for infusions as not to be heated detereorate, has a long lifespan, and is less likely of rancidity. Your infusions should last about a year - in a clean, dark glass bottle or jar (and sunlight in a cool place).
Herb Choices: The Herbal Hot Oil method is more suitable for difficult weeds, such as rosemary, and roots, bark and seeds. That said, more delicate materials, like rose petals could be used but I would keep the heat lower and verification of the force after an hour - it may be wise to do filter and reuse the oil with a new batch of dried petals. The state of the petals after an hour you will say - if they are still quite Colorful continue, but if they lack color, then use a new batch. Some of my favorite herbs for infusions of oil:
Calendula (Marigold) - useful for hair oil for red hair also makes a soothing oil for irritated skin - ideal for an ointment for breastfeeding mothers (wipe nipple clean before breastfeeding though). Combines well with Chamomile - another herb skin care, as well as oil for hair blond hair.
Comfrey - a soothing oil for stiff and painful joints - particularly good to help heal small fractures, damaged ligaments and tendons. Do not use on open wounds.
Lavender - the familiar, soothing scent of lavender is ideal for relaxing, calming oil. Ideal for a bedroom or bath massage oil.
Nettle - another friend of hair herbal hair oil as a good general also makes for a soothing oil for irritated skin.
Parsley - Ideal addition to a hair oil herbal remedy for hair loss or thin.
Rose - An oil delicately scented, soothing to the emotions and good for dry or mature skin.
Rosemary - excellent choice for hair oil (for dark hair) - hair will condition and nourish the scalp Rosemary also makes a wonderfully relaxing massage oil for sore muscles and bruises. can also discourage mosquitoes.
Sage - another excellent choice for a hair oil - again dark hair, mostly gray. Also useful for remedy of dandruff.
Resin, such as incense or Benzoin, or Orris root powder can be combined with herbs and oil - of course they communicate their medicinal and aromatic mixing and will also act as a fixative for perfume and work as a natural preservative.
Your fragrance oil can be mixed with other oils when finished - you can find olive oil too heavy a general purpose oil for skin, for an oil Try gentle massage oil infused half and half almond oil. For a hair oil you want to add jojoba oil infused - and then heat oil (put the bottle into a cup of boiled water and let stand for about 5 minutes - always test a little oil on your hand before use it to check the temperature!) and apply liberally from roots to ends. Wrap a hot towel around your hair keep the heat and relax for at least half an hour. Shampoo and wash - the oil can be stubborn to move, but fresh lemon juice and water moving in no time, and leave your hair smelling fresh and beautiful appearance! (Lemon also adds shine to hair and improves emphasis added).
Infused oils can be mixed with essential oils (you'll need to use less drops of essential oil in an oil infused a crude oil tanker), or used as an ingredient for preparing other - as an ointment:
Herbal Ointment
1 / 2 quart of oil, herbal infused
1 ounce beeswax - grated *
Set up a bain-marie with a glass bowl suspended in a water pan and add the fragrance oil and beeswax in glass bowl. Simmer until the wax is melted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before pouring into sterile jars clean glass, filling to 1 / 2 inches high. As it sets the ointment will be immersed in the medium. Book a little ointment to complete the jars - consitency reheating to a pourable.
If you want to include essential oils add them just before taking the cream off the heat and stir well. You do need a few drops.
* (Strong) cocoa butter could be used instead of beeswax. To produce different consistencies change the ratio of oil to the beeswax / Cocoa butter - more oil and less beeswax / = cocoa butter moisturizing lotion / cream, and beeswax cocoa butter / with less oil = balm / ointment stronger.
