Millions of salmon did not appear this fall in the rivers of Canada - The cause is obvious to see?

I wrote an article the other day on the target = "_blank"> Sockeye in Canada. Apparently, no one knew why sockeye does not appear as usual this fall.

However, Information given to me after I wrote the article mentioned above, something else States, and should perhaps be considered the cause of his absence.

First a little background for you who have not read my previous article.

Millions of sockeye salmon called red has disappeared from his trip across the Fraser River this year. River is located in the province of British Columbia.

Ministry of Fisheries says that nearly 6 million to 10 million this species has been provided when traveling in the Fraser River this month. A count conducted shows that only about 600,000 sockeye salmon have made the trip this year. This act of Leak will have enormous consequences for the fishing industry.

Local fishermen said the situation is shocking and a disaster and even said it is essential. Radio-Canada believes that this will be the worst year in history for catching salmon.

Speculation about his disappearance was doing all of the salmon has been warmer waters of the sea, food shortages, increase the amount of predators, some of salmon lice of local fish in the Strait of Georgia.

Another possibility is that the fish are late this year and will come at a later stage. Biologists do not think it is a plausible cause at all.

Sockeye pass from one to four years on the Pacific before his return migration freshwater to spawn and die. This happens fairly regularly in the late summer time. No one has proper knowledge of what the Fish spends his time out in the ocean. This is quite surprising that scientists currently not aware of what's going on sockeye time at the moment it is not in Canadian rivers.

In consequence of this situation, the Canadian authorities have canceled the season for the sockeye catch this year. Only natives are permitted to fish for own consumption only.

The number of salmon red fell nearly 90 percent over the last twelve years in most lakes in Canada.

The three other species of salmon migrating across the Canadian River during the summer and fall season does not seem to be affected by the same amount of decrease with that sockeye a.

So what makes us draw some conclusion on why sockeye does not appear in the streams of Canada this year?

In January 2007 scientists gave warning to the British Columbia authorities that sea lice could be the cause of the decline in the amount of salmon in Canadian rivers and lakes.
For the first time in Canada, scientists have used data from the world's largest aquaculture company to establish a link between sea lice on Atlantic salmon farms in British Columbia and fish soaring infection rates in wild salmon Migratory nearby.

This warning was published in Toronto Globe and Mail in 2007. We can therefore say that the solution to the lack this delicate fish was found at the time already, and the cause of the fish has been infected has been identified as well.

Then in February 2008, the Vancouver Sun ran a study group funded by the government switches sides on risks of fish farms.
Pacific Salmon Forum is currently agreed sea lice are killing salmon. In a blow to the industry in British Columbia salmon farming, the research group funded by the government says it now accepts a recent scientific study that warns against the mass extinctions of wild pink salmon on the coast Central due to salmon farming.
In uncirculated "statement" obtained by The Vancouver Sun, Pacific Salmon Forum has recognized that sea lice infestations contributed to the collapse of populations of pink salmon in the Broughton Archipelago 2001-2005 - as indicated in a recent article in Science, a leading international research journal.
The article by Martin Krkosek, co-researcher Alexandra Morton and others, drew attention International. He warned that wild pink salmon could be extinct within four years on the central coast of British Columbia due to infestation by sea lice from salmon farms in this area.
In 2007, a provincial legislature committee to study fish farming has also recommended the switch industry in net sea pens to closed containment pens to prevent infestations of lice in farms to spread to wild fish migrating in the vicinity.
Both recommendations were ignored by the province.

We can say, signals were there, and the causes have been described, but no action was taken. Who is to blame on this issue, neglecting Authorities do not follow the regulation and control to avoid a disaster on the coast of Canada. There is no mystery why longer that salmon does not appear as intended (by some). It is human interference with its effects on the environment.

contribution rights in global warming pollution and set the parameters for how our wildlife is growing and responding accordingly.

There is no excuse to skip over, there must be a change in human behavior before it is too late. We already have too many signs in our food chain that we must clean up our act and become more involved in ecological economics project or industry. Industry should be required to pay the cost of their activity on the environment and the consumer must accept the price that comes with it. But I guess it will be much to ask for - at least today.
