The Arzberg company, since 1887 is synonymous with the highest quality in materials and design. Known for their simple, no frills designs, so timeless stay always contemporary. Heinrich Schumann, from Angelroda (Thuringia), had a small pottery in Arzberg which had to close because it was in the way the newly constructed railroad. The railway was completed in November 1879 and Arzberg connected with the network of railways.
In 1931, Arzberg Form 1382 the benchmark for modern tableware. It is now celebrating its 75th anniversary and its design is unchanged. Like his contemporaries Bauhaus, Dr.Ing. Hermann Gretsch relied on the form and function to guide its design. His quest was to design a tureen that could be emptied with a ladle. The result was this collection which is pure, simple and timeless. Please purchase online http://www.etabletop.com/
