Frequently Asked Questions ...

before I found some small pottery thing it could be a plate or something, but just curious, bast answer? and I could really just upload it to DA XD http://misschristinegee.deviantart.com/art/dont-bother-faving-this-XD-182180512
Answer:
I do not think you'll get a response with a fragment as small as that. It could all ... probably a record like you said, or a vase be of a type

Trimming a Large Plate
The use of photopolymer plates in the visual arts is vast! Although the photo-polymer plates have been developed for flexographic (industrial) print, the artists soon found a way to exploit this very versatile material for making art, prints, artist books and more.
Today, these plates are also used by jewelry artists worldwide. When I introduced the metal community of clay to the notion of making texture plates and design at home, for a low cost and within a very short period of time, I had no idea how they would embrace.
But making prints is one technique the plates may be used. Once you're setting up to present and make the plates, you're ready to use them for all sorts of other things:
1. Print
That's what they were designed for! Think of packaging and presentation and printing on materials to make jewelry from.
- Use your logo on the card tags, paper bags and so nice
- Print on Plexiglas or glass for use in jewelry
2. Embossing
This works particularly well when you use polymer plates more difficult. Just a simple ball pen deliberately designed for embossing, or try an empty ballpoint pen you start. Make sure you use good quality, thick paper.
3. The use of a polymer Plate Photo as mold for wax patterns for casting
Make multiple or related castings is easy when you start with a basic design in a sheet of polymer.
- Use the deeper plate you can buy
- Brush Vaseline in the grooves and on the whole plate
- Build a shallow retaining "wall" around the design to keep the wax liquid in
- Carefully pour the wax in all the grooves
- Allow to cool naturally and remove plaque
The resulting wax can be worked like a wax model of other
4. Making Moulds for glass
Make a master mold for plaster
- Use the depth of the plate for your design (a plastic plate supported would be more effective this process)
- Oil wells in the grooves and on any plate
- Building a retaining "wall" around the design, done in two stages, one for the cast and a little farther to the glass
- Pour in your mixture of plaster of Paris and let all
- Remove the plate and dry thoroughly
- Then follow you plan to cast favorite with the glass of your choice
5. Moulds for Clay to Make Pottery
mussels plaster made for clay would be similar to those described above. They can be simple press molds, or made with a well taken casting.
Use a flexible plate to facilitate the release of plaster or clay is desirable.
Make beautiful ceramic pieces that can be defined metal or simply strung on cord or leather.
6. Parts Manufacturing Printing polymer clay and metal clays
And last but not least .... is what many artists use metal clay to get beautiful clean lines in their designs.
- Excellent starting point for other sculpture
- Great for inlay designs fatty
- Make metal logo tags, using computer generated artwork, including lettering
- Keum-boo make texture plates and more
You can find step by step instructions to make the plates at: http://www.silverclayart.com/ppplates-instr.htm
The possibilities seem endless, and I haven't even scratched the surface!
Try it, I'm sure you'll like it, once you've made a few plates.
