Answer:
I am not an expert in ancient artifacts, but the first thought came to me that the pottery of the Maya and Toltecs is the home.

American Art Pottery Secrets - Paul J. Katrich - 4of6.mp4
Images of women in art has been around since the beginning of time, well almost, as the numbers of humans have not been much used in cave paintings. But many ancient civilizations depicts women in art, with the oldest coin ever found dating back to the era Paleolithic. This is a small statue known as the Venus of Willendorf and is a richly endowed, naked woman. Naked women is considered just in art, both sculptures and paintings. In many societies, most women's art depicting famous femininity as fertility and motherhood. The woman is honored.
Today the woman is still a popular model in the art. Many my favorite pieces of art represent women and hi-light a woman's qualities and strengths. Two of my favorite artists specializing in bronze sculptures of women, and although their styles are very different, they both produce simple shapes and uncomplicated. Their Songs are wonderful to touch the human spirit. Both artists are Ann Fleming and Nnamdi Okonkwo.
Ann Fleming lives in Oregon and used to specialize in pottery. But a few years ago, she decided to try his had in sculpture and discovered she had a natural talent. Be the first potter she discusses her sculptures using coils of clay and put in place, coil by coil. This is similar to techniques used in ancient cultures. It smooths, shapes and cuts until she found the movement and she tries to capture form. His wife in all art tell a story and all eyes are closed, which, it gives a sense of vulnerability. Thanks to this, and the simplicity of her art, she draws the viewer into history that each of his pieces depict. Some features his wife in the art are represented: the inner strength, motherhood, sisterhood, strength, hope, faith, balance in life unity, trust, care and love. His Art celebrates femininity and touch something in all of us.
Nnamdi Okonkwo is as different as possible from Ann, but her target = "_new" rel = "nofollow" href = http://www.kaplinq.com/women_in_art "> women" in art is as beautiful and touching. Nnamdi was born in Africa, and moved to the United States when he received a scholarship from college basketball. Using basketball as an avenue, he earned a bachelor and a Masters later in the sculpture. He now lives in Georgia, where he works full time at his studio. The characteristics of femininity he tries to capture the empathy, love, resilience and strength. It depicts women with massive and round shapes to symbolize the abundant life and an outward manifestation of a greatness of soul.
His work is more stylized and simple because it believes offers more stylization possibilities of "universal themes and emotions." This style provokes different thoughts and ideas and can lead the viewer to introspection and contemplation. I had this insight through his art, which has given her art a great service personal to me.
Ann and Nnamdi do great credit to women through their art. They help us realize the important role that women play in the lives of everyone they touch, something that can easily go unnoticed (often by women themselves). These representations of women in art can add beauty to our home, and remind us of our own inner strengths.
See the work of women in art by these two contemporary artists at Fairhaven Originals Gallery (FOG). Their representation of women in art can can bring greater meaning and understanding to you or the women in life.
